Adamawa Police Command Calls for Professionalism, Public Cooperation in CP’s Inaugural Address

The Adamawa State Police Command has urged its personnel to maintain the highest standards of professionalism while calling on residents to support ongoing efforts to enhance security across the state.
In his inaugural address, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, emphasized discipline, integrity, and respect for human rights as essential principles guiding effective policing.
He stated that meaningful security outcomes can only be achieved through strong collaboration between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Hassan reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating crime, maintaining law and order, and protecting lives and property throughout Adamawa State. He charged officers to remain vigilant, dedicated, and responsive to the needs of the public.
Highlighting the importance of community engagement, the Commissioner encouraged residents to provide timely and credible information to assist security operations. He assured that all information received would be handled with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
The CP also issued a stern warning against misconduct, stressing that the Command would not tolerate abuse of office. According to him, any officer found guilty of wrongdoing would face appropriate disciplinary measures in line with established laws and regulations.
He assured citizens of a renewed focus on intelligence-driven policing and proactive strategies aimed at preventing crime and strengthening public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.
