AIG Akinwale Hosts PCRC North-East Coordinator in Yola

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, on March 8, 2026, received the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Coordinator for the North-East National Special Unit, Alhaji Bello Hmidu Jada, alongside his delegation.
The visit, which took place at the Zonal Headquarters in Yola, had in attendance members of the AIG’s management team and PCRC officials from the zone.
Speaking during the meeting, the PCRC Zonal Chairman for Zone 3, HRM Simon Yakubu Buba, who is also the District Head of Dugwaba, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to the delegation.
He commended the AIG and police operatives for their dedication to duty, noting visible improvements in policing, particularly the increased presence of patrol vehicles in communities.
Also speaking, the North-East Coordinator of the PCRC National Special Unit, Alhaji Bello Hmidu Jada, said the visit highlights the importance of sustained collaboration and strategic engagement in tackling security challenges in the region. He assured the police of the committee’s continued support in areas such as public sensitisation and community awareness.
In his response, AIG Akinwale thanked the delegation for the courtesy visit and stressed the need to maintain the strong working relationship between the police and the PCRC.
He reiterated the command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property, assuring PCRC members of continued cooperation and accessibility to enhance security and improve the quality of life for residents.
