AIG Orders Tight Security Ahead of Eid-el-Adha in Adamawa, Taraba

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, has directed increased security deployment across Adamawa and Taraba states ahead of the Eid-el-Adha celebrations.
The directive was conveyed in a statement issued on Monday by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Aminu Umar Bashir, on behalf of the AIG.
According to the statement, the security measures are aimed at safeguarding lives and property during the festive period, in line with the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to ensuring public safety across the country.
Adeniran instructed Commissioners of Police in Adamawa and Taraba State Commands to intensify surveillance and adopt proactive policing strategies throughout the Sallah celebrations.
He also appealed to residents to cooperate with security agencies, obey the law, and promptly report suspicious activities or movements within their communities.
Describing security as a collective responsibility, the AIG stressed the importance of stronger collaboration between the police and the public to ensure peaceful and hitch-free celebrations.
The police chief further congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the Eid-el-Adha festival and the commencement of Dhul-Hijjah, the final month in the Islamic calendar, assuring residents of the Nigeria Police Force’s preparedness to maintain peace and order during the celebrations.
He urged citizens to use the festive season to promote unity, tolerance, love, and peaceful coexistence for the continued progress and prosperity of the nation.
