Nigeria Police Launch Road Safety, Electoral Violence Awareness on Day 3 of National Police Day 2026

YOLA —By Ojoma Yusuf,Yola
In continuation of the 2026 National Police Day activities, the Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, FDC, rolled out focused public awareness campaigns on the third day of celebrations.
The day began at Jambutu Motor Park, where officers engaged motorists and commuters on the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of compliance with traffic regulations. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote road safety and responsible driving habits across the State.
Simultaneously, the Command conducted public sensitisation programs at various political party secretariats, highlighting the dangers of electoral violence, ballot box snatching, and related offences. The campaigns aim to foster peaceful electoral processes and reinforce public trust in law enforcement.
These initiatives underscore the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to ensuring safer roads and secure elections, aligning with this year’s National Police Day theme: “Community Partnership: Building Trust.”
