Police AIG Visits Gombi to Assess Security After Attack

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, Kunle Adeniran, has visited Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State to assess the security situation following a recent attack in Tela Bala, Guyaku District.
Adeniran was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Kabir Umar Hassan, during the visit, which authorities say is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security presence and reassure affected communities.
The police delegation conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the area to evaluate current security deployments and review measures put in place to prevent further attacks. The visit also included a condolence call on the Kumu of Gombi, His Royal Majesty Aggrey B. Ali, where they sympathized with families affected by the incident.
Speaking during the visit, the AIG condemned the attack and reaffirmed the commitment of the police and other security agencies to safeguarding lives and property. He noted that security forces are working closely with the military and other stakeholders to restore peace in the area.
Adeniran further directed officers deployed to the affected communities to intensify patrols, enhance surveillance, and adopt intelligence-led operations. He also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with residents to improve response to security threats.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding. He called on members of the public to support security agencies with timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterated that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of residents across the state.
