CP Kabiru Seeks Stronger Security Collaboration During Operational Tour of Guyuk, Shelleng

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, has embarked on an operational tour of Guyuk and Shelleng Local Government Areas as part of efforts to strengthen security collaboration, promote community policing, and improve service delivery across the state.
The tour began in Guyuk LGA, where the police commissioner paid a courtesy visit to the Kwandi Nunguraya, His Royal Majesty Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, seeking the monarch’s support and guidance in sustaining peace, security, and effective policing.
The traditional ruler welcomed the commissioner and reaffirmed the commitment of the traditional institution to supporting the police in maintaining law and order.
During an interactive meeting with stakeholders, community leaders, and representatives of various groups in Guyuk, CP Kabiru stressed the importance of community participation in crime prevention. He urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to enhance proactive policing and public safety.
The commissioner also addressed officers and personnel serving in Guyuk, commending their dedication to duty while urging them to remain disciplined, professional, respectful of human rights, and committed to intelligence-led and community-based policing.
The operational tour continued to Shelleng LGA, where CP Kabiru paid courtesy visits to the Chairman of Shelleng Local Government Council, Hon. Abubakar Isa, and the Amna of Shelleng, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong.
During the visits, the commissioner sought continued collaboration and support from the traditional institution in promoting peace and security across the area. The first-class traditional ruler assured the police command of the emirate’s commitment to supporting security efforts.
Addressing stakeholders in Shelleng, CP Kabiru called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth leaders, and other community stakeholders to strengthen cooperation with the police through intelligence sharing, vigilance, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence.
He emphasized that ensuring security remains a collective responsibility requiring the active participation of all members of society.
The commissioner also met with officers and personnel serving in Shelleng, charging them to remain proactive in crime prevention, strengthen visibility policing, uphold professionalism, and continue building public confidence through quality service delivery.
Kabiru was accompanied on the tour by Deputy Commissioners of Police John D. Sendere (Administration), Abubakar Haruna (Operations), Hazmat Tambai (State Criminal Investigation Department), and other members of the Adamawa State Police Command Management Team.
The Adamawa State Police Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property through effective policing, strategic partnerships, and sustained engagement with traditional institutions, community stakeholders, and other critical partners across the state.
