Gov. Fintiri Reaffirms Commitment for Peaceful Co-existence As Bwatiye Kingdom Visit

YOLA —By Ojoma Yusuf,YolaGovernor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reaffirmed his commitment to continue promote peace, unity and development across 21 Local Government Areas.Governor Fintiri gives the assurance during a courtesy visit by Pene Da Bwatiye Association at the Banquet Hall, Government House in Yola state capital.He expressed gratitude to the Bwatiye people for their visit and committed to foster unity and development, as well as improving infrastructure, education and the welfare of the people in the State.Fintiri also assured the Bwatiye community of the security of lives and property, adding that the state government is implementing a digitally transformative and transparent governance system, where all policies and programs are accessible through the government website.He emphasized that his government will not leave any stone on turn as he wishes to the good people of Adamawa to embrace peace and disregard unnecessary critics.Earlier in his address, Chief James Iliya, President of the Pene Da Bwatiye Association, stated that the visit is timely and one of the reasons for the visit is the resolution of the Bwatiye people to express their gratitude and support for the Governor’s impactful administration in the State.Chief Iliya praised Governor Fintiri for his inclusive governance, which has led to significant development, including the appointment of individuals from the Bwatiye community to key positions, such as the Deputy Governor, Commissioners, and Permanent Secretaries among others.Hama Bachama, Daniel Ismaila Shaga, OON, the traditional leader loudly appreciate the Governor for giving the sons and daughters of his kingdom opportunities to contribute the quarter for the development of the state.He added that Pene da Bwatiye loyalty is clear and well spelt out as he also uses the opportunity to call on the Governor to properly address the issue of farmers/herders clashes in his kingdom
