Law School Student Dies After Reportedly Being Barred From Final Exams

YOLA —By Ojoma Yusuf,Yola
A Nigerian Law School student at the Yola campus, Ayomiposi Ojajuni, has died after an incident that occurred shortly after he discovered he was ineligible to sit for the Bar Final examinations.
Sources within the campus told our reporter that Ojajuni did not meet the mandatory 75 percent attendance requirement, one of the key criteria for writing the final exams. Typically, the list of eligible candidates is released about two weeks before the examinations, giving students with legitimate health-related absences time to regularize their records.
According to those familiar with the situation, Ojajuni became distressed upon learning his name was not on the eligibility list. He was later found in critical condition after reportedly ingesting a harmful substance.
Campus officials and fellow students made efforts to save his life, rushing him to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, where he was ultimately confirmed dead.
The Nigerian Law School has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. If you or someone you know is struggling with emotional or mental health challenges, please reach out to a trusted person or contact local mental-health support services.
