AIG Akinwale Adeniran Retires After 34 Years in Nigeria Police Force

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, has retired from the Nigeria Police Force after 34 years of distinguished service.
A statement issued on Friday by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Aminu Umar Bashir, said officers and personnel of the Zone 3 Command Headquarters, Yola, gathered on July 3, 2026, to celebrate the successful and meritorious retirement of the senior police officer.
The farewell ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Hassan Kabir Umar, members of the Command’s management team, friends, and other stakeholders who paid tribute to the retiring AIG’s remarkable career and contributions to policing and public safety.
Speaking at the event, CP Hassan commended AIG Adeniran for his mentorship, exemplary leadership, and unwavering support to the Command. He noted that the retiring officer’s wealth of operational and administrative experience had significantly impacted the careers of many officers and would continue to inspire them throughout their service.
In his farewell remarks, AIG Adeniran expressed gratitude to the Commissioners of Police in Adamawa and Taraba states, officers and personnel of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, as well as members of the public, for their support, cooperation, and goodwill during his years in service. He urged officers to remain committed to professionalism, integrity, and selfless service in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony featured goodwill messages and other activities celebrating the retiring AIG’s outstanding service to the nation. It concluded with a group photograph and goodwill wishes as AIG Adeniran embarked on a new chapter after a distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force.
