APC primaries: Fintiri inspects polling units, praises orderly conduct in Adamawa

Fintiri Monitors APC Primary Centres in Yola, Jimeta, Commends Voter TurnoutGovernor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Saturday toured several polling centres across Jimeta and Yola during the ongoing activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise and the turnout of participants.
The governor visited multiple voting locations, including Bako Primary School in Yola South Local Government Area, where he interacted with party members, electoral officials, and supporters participating in the process.
During the tour, which covered parts of Yola and Jimeta, Fintiri commended residents for what he described as their strong participation and commitment to the democratic process. He also expressed appreciation for what he called their continued solidarity with governance structures at both state and federal levels.
He urged voters to sustain their political engagement and support for the APC, saying continuity in leadership would help consolidate ongoing development programmes and reforms.
The governor was accompanied by the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Tijjani Ahmed Galadima, who he described as a capable and experienced leader with the competence to drive further development in the state.
Fintiri called on residents of Yola and other parts of Adamawa to support Galadima and other APC candidates in upcoming elections, describing them as key to sustaining progress in the state.
He also defended the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that prevailing economic challenges were influenced by global conditions affecting many countries. According to him, the administration remains committed to long-term economic stability through policy reforms.
The governor further highlighted achievements recorded in Adamawa State over the past several years,
particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and social welfare, stating that continued progress depends on electoral support for APC candidates.
Meanwhile, the APC primaries across parts of Yola and Jimeta reportedly recorded a large turnout of party members, with security presence described as tight but orderly.
