Governor Fintiri Appoints Dr. Sumayya Sabo as Adamawa Digital Academy Coordinator

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of Dr. Sumayya Babangida Sabo as the Programme Coordinator of the Adamawa Digital Academy, a key initiative under the state’s digital transformation agenda.
Dr. Sabo, an Information Systems professional and education administrator, brings extensive experience in digital skills development, academic administration, innovation programmes, and information technology management. She currently serves as a Tutor and IT Coordinator at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, Dr. Sabo will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Academy’s programmes. Her duties will include overseeing student onboarding,
stakeholder engagement, academic administration, and the implementation of strategic partnerships aimed at positioning the institution as a leading digital skills academy in Nigeria and across Africa.
The appointment forms part of the state government’s efforts to operationalize the Adamawa Digital Academy, a flagship project under the Adamawa 2.0 Digital Transformation Agenda.
The initiative is designed to equip more than 100,000 youths and civil servants with digital and emerging technology skills to enhance innovation, employability, and economic development.
Governor Fintiri congratulated Dr. Sabo on her appointment and expressed confidence in her ability to successfully drive the Academy’s objectives and contribute to the state’s digital transformation goals.
