Police Arrest 29-Year-Old for Murder of 5-Year-Old Boy in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 29-year-old man, Isiaka Hassan, in connection with the brutal killing of a five-year-old boy, Abba Bashiru, in Tingno, Lamurde Local Government Area.
According to a statement released on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the case was reported by the victim’s mother, Hadiza Bashiru, who said her son had gone missing after being last seen with the suspect.
Police officers from the Tingno Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, acted promptly and arrested Hassan. During questioning, the suspect allegedly confessed to collaborating with an accomplicewho is currently on the run to kill the child and bury his body in a shallow grave.
The boy’s remains were recovered and transported to a hospital for autopsy.
Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to take over the investigation and intensify efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
The Command reiterated its commitment to bringing all those involved to justice and urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement in the fight against violent crime across the state.
