‎Fintiri Pledges Support, Collaboration as ICDA Pays Historic Visit

YOLA —‎By Ojoma Yusuf,Yola‎‎Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has pledged to strengthen collaboration with the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA), Adamawa State Chapter, during a historic courtesy visit by the association’s executives and members in Yola.‎‎This marks the first time in the association’s history that its Adamawa chapter is formally visiting the state governor.‎‎Leading the delegation, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Umar, CEO of Optimum Laboratory, Yola, commended Governor Fintiri for the ongoing transformation across the state. He noted that the Igala community, which has lived in Adamawa for more than three decades, has never witnessed such rapid development.‎‎“Your tenure has completely changed the face of the state. Even your opposition cannot deny your impact,” he said, assuring the governor that the Igala community stands firmly behind his administration and is ready to support the state in all areas.‎‎Also speaking, the ICDA President, Alhaji Danlami Yahaya, expressed appreciation for the governor’s infrastructural achievements, as well as the peaceful and inclusive environment his administration has fostered. He described Adamawa as a “peace-loving state,” which has encouraged Igala entrepreneurs to invest without fear.‎‎Yahaya reaffirmed the association’s readiness to partner with the government, adding that Igala residents are committed to contributing to the state’s progress.‎‎In his response, Governor Fintiri praised the Igala community for their role in the economic growth of Adamawa, particularly their contributions to the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR). He emphasized the importance of collaboration, expressing willingness to work closely with the group given the strength and impact of their businesses.‎‎Among those in the ICDA delegation were Omachi Attah Igala,Alhaji Sale Musa the Igala chief representing the Attah of Igala in Adamawa, former ICDA president Joe Atabo,Muhammed Adamu Dealer Total and several other members.‎‎
