ICDA Adamawa Chapter Celebrates 2025 Cultural Day, Calls for Unity

The Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA), Adamawa State Chapter, has marked its 2025 Annual Cultural Day with vibrant displays of traditional music, dance, and attire, celebrating the heritage of the Igala Kingdom in Nigeria’s Northeast.
The event also featured the launching of a new Hummer bus to support the association’s activities and enhance its operations.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the occasion and CEO of Optimum Clinic, Alhaji Sani Umar Muhammed, emphasized the importance of unity and togetherness among the Igala people. He urged members to continue upholding their cultural values while fostering peace within the community.
The ICDA State President, Alhaji Yahaya, expressed deep appreciation to the Igala community for maintaining harmony over the years. He also commended Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his continued support and for providing an accommodating environment for the Igala people, describing Adamawa as a truly hospitable state.
Other stakeholders and elder statesmen present at the event lauded the leadership of the state chapter for steering the affairs of the association effectively.
Participants noted that the gathering made the Igala community in Adamawa feel at home, as the celebration successfully recreated the atmosphere of their cultural roots despite being far from their ancestral land.
