GANG RAPEN:ONE OUT OF THREE ARRESTED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TWO YOUNG GIRLS

YOLA —*CP orders for thorough and clinical investigation*
Adamawa state police command, 22/3/2023 apprehended One (1) from Syndicate of three for Gang raping two Girls in Sangere village, Yola South local government area.
The suspects,Bello Abdullahi 30years a Vigilante and two others now at large all residents of Sangere Numan roadwere said to have on the 22/3/2023 at about 2230hrs .The Suspects lured their victims to a nearby Bush Situated at a remote side of Sangere and forcefully had Carnal knowledge of them without their consent.
The incident was reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Kofare by the Victims.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the Suspects took advantage of the Victims by arresting them with pretend of patrolling the Area as Vigilantes. Unfortunately, they were threatened, subdued and forced to submit sexually to all the three Suspects.
The Commissioner of police CP Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi has bluntly frown at the irritable incident and directed Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to immediately Conduct thorough and Clinical investigation and ensure diligent prosecution.
The police *Boss* equally advised Members of the Public particularly parents to be watchful of their childrens especially the girl child against criminal minded elements who are roaming about seeking who to take advantage of.
He equally assures the Adamawa State Government and the general public of the Command’s unrelenting effort to see that it ends all forms of Gender Based Violence and assured of immidiate prosecution of any perpetrator found wanting.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations officer Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, made this known in a press statement as he uses the opportunity to call on the good people of Adamawa state to remain vigilant and report any suspected movement around their locality.
