Governor Fintiri Congratulates Newly Elected Adamawa ALGON Executives, Charges Them to Justify Colleagues’ Confidence

YOLA —Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the Adamawa State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), urging them to provide purposeful leadership and uphold the confidence reposed in them by their colleagues.In a press statement released by theChief Press Secretary to the Governor Humwashi Wonosikou ,he detailed that the new executives emerged following their election on Wednesday after the swearing-in of the 21 elected Local Government Chairmen in the state.
Dr. Titus Obadiah, FCNA, Chairman of Mayo-Belwa Local Government Council, was elected Chairman of the chapter. Yusuf Mohammed, OC, Chairman of Madagali Local Government Council, emerged as Vice Chairman, while Barrister Ibrahim Jibrin, Chairman of Yola North Local Government Council, was elected Secretary.Governor Fintiri described their election as well deserved, noting that it reflects the trust, confidence, and respect they enjoy among their fellow council chairmen.According to the Governor, the new leadership assumes office at a crucial time when visionary leadership, experience, and commitment are needed to strengthen grassroots governance and accelerate development across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas.He urged the executives to remain united, provide effective leadership, and prioritize the welfare of the people.“I congratulate you on this well-deserved victory. The confidence your colleagues have placed in you is a call to greater service. Do not betray that trust.
