A frontline aspirant for the Lere West Constituency seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Tham Garba, has officially obtained his nomination form under the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling his full entry into the 2027 electoral race.
In a statement addressed to his constituents, Garba expressed confidence and determination to go “to the end” in pursuit of his political ambition, noting that both his expression of interest and nomination forms are ready for submission..
He described his candidacy as one driven by commitment to the people, stressing that he carries their mandate with seriousness and a clear sense of purpose.
Garba also reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and respect for its internal democratic processes, stating his openness to either a consensus arrangement or direct primaries, as provided in the party’s constitution.
According to him, if the party adopts a consensus approach, it must be guided by justice, fairness, and inclusiveness, with all stakeholders actively involved in the decision-making process.
The aspirant cautioned against individuals prematurely declaring themselves as consensus candidates, describing such actions as inappropriate and capable of undermining party unity.
He expressed confidence in the leadership of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, to ensure a transparent and credible process that would produce a strong candidate for the party.
Garba further stated his readiness to participate in the APC direct primaries scheduled for May 20, 2026, unless the party leadership decides otherwise.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party’s success, he pledged to work for the victory of all APC candidates in the state, including Ahmed Mannir, while promoting unity, fairness, and collective progress.
