Minister of Livestock Development Visits Adamawa Police Command, Receives Briefing on Security Efforts

The Adamawa State Police Command on Tuesday, hosted the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, who arrived in Yola as part of an official tour to assess grazing routes across the state.
According to the Command, the Minister’s visit aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen livestock development and promote peaceful coexistence between herders and farmers a long-standing priority in the region.
Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, welcomed the Minister and his delegation, expressing gratitude for the visit and reaffirming the Command’s commitment to supporting federal initiatives aimed at enhancing security and sustainable livestock management.
He briefed the Minister on current strategies the police have deployed to maintain peace between herding and farming communities.
During the visit, the Commissioner also presented an Award of Recognition to CSP Abdullahi Idi, Chief Security Officer to the Minister and the pioneer Commander of the Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT) in Adamawa State. The award acknowledged his notable contributions to improving security in the state.
The visit concluded with assurances from both parties of strengthened collaboration to advance livestock development and maintain harmony among communities reliant on shared land resources.
