POLICE REOPENS ACID BATH CASE FOR INVESTIGATION IN ADAMAWA

YOLA —By Ojoma Yusuf,YolaThe Adamawa State Police Command has noted the recent public concern and media reports regarding the acid attack incident that occurred sometimes in 2023, involving three victims, including Miss Eve Usman Kwala.In a press release by the command public relations officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje detailed that the command recalls that the unfortunate incident, which left the victims with severe injuries, was reported at the time, however, no suspect was successfully apprehended during the initial investigation. Inview of the renewed attention and emotional appeals from affected persons and concerned members of the public, the command has resolve to revisit the matter, unmask perpetrator(s) and ensure justice is served.The Commissioner of Police *CP Dankombo Morris Psc (+),* has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Investigation to immediately:1. Review and reassess the entire case file without delay.2. Gather all human and material evidences through statements earlier recorded and any new material that may assist the investigation.3. Identify, trace, and thoroughly investigate all persons connected either direct or indirect to the incident.4. Ensure the arrest and diligent prosecution of all perpetrators involved in this heinous act.Members of the public with useful information are encouraged to come forward and assist the investigation. All information provided will be treated with the highest confidentiality.The Command remains resolute to upholding justice, safeguarding lives, and ensuring that criminal acts of this nature are never swept aside.
