Police Arrest Suspect Over Alleged Beheading of Woman in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the alleged beheading of a woman in Girei Local Government Area of the state.
The Command made this known in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Friday in Yola, the state capital.
According to the statement, the arrest followed the reported incident, while detectives have commenced a full-scale investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing.
The police said further details would be released to the public as the investigation progresses.
The Command urged residents to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands, particularly warning against jungle justice.
It appealed to members of the public to allow the police to conduct a thorough investigation and establish the facts of the case.
The Command also assured the public that updates would be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
