The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives representing Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency, Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, has pledged to run an inclusive government that prioritises persons with disabilities (PWDs), youth empowerment and economic development if elected in the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking during a press conference in Yola, Ahmad outlined what he described as an ambitious agenda aimed at transforming the constituency through productivity, opportunity and sustainable development.
According to him, his aspiration goes beyond politics, stressing that his mission is to build a constituency where every segment of society has equal opportunities to thrive.
He stated that the people of Yola North, Yola South and Girei deserve a representative with a sound understanding of governance, budgeting processes and institutional engagement capable of attracting federal opportunities to the grassroots.
The APC candidate also promised inclusive representation, assuring that every ward and demographic group, including women, traders, farmers, professionals and persons with disabilities, would have a voice under his leadership.
Ahmad commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as leadership that continues to strengthen the APC as a platform for governance and reform across the country.
He further appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and other party stakeholders for ensuring what he called a transparent democratic process.
Calling for unity within the APC, Ahmad urged party members and supporters to work collectively toward securing victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
