APC Candidate Engr. Salihijo Ahmad Mourns Passing of Bamanga Tukur

YOLA —The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency, Engr. Salihijo Ahmad, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the first civilian Governor of the defunct Gongola State and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement by the director media and publicity Ibrahim Abubakardetailed that Engr. Salihijo has describe the late Tukur as a father figure, an accomplished businessman and a distinguished politician whose contributions to nation-building remain indelible.

Alhaji Bamanga Tukur passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.

Engr. Salihijo noted that the death of the elder statesman is a monumental loss not only to Adamawa State but to Nigeria as a whole, commending his courage, foresight, patriotism and lifelong commitment to public service.

“Our father, Bamanga Tukur, was a colossus who made remarkable contributions to the development of Adamawa State and Nigeria. His wealth of experience, wisdom and dedication to service earned him a place of honour in our national history,” he said.

The Salihijo Campaign Council extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his friends, associates and the people of Adamawa State, urging them to take solace in his enduring legacy of leadership and service.

Engr. Salihijo prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
