Dashen Residents Benefit as Binos Medical Team Treats Nearly 1,000

Dashen community in Jada Local Government Council of Adamawa State was awash with smiles on Saturday as the Binos hospital-on-whe””””””e”ls brought free medical services to residents, treating nearly 1,000 people battling various illnesses.
The one-day medical outreach, held at Dashen Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), included both general treatments and surgeries. Surgical procedures conducted included herniorrhaphy (hernia repair), appendectomy, hydrocelectomy, lumpectomy, among other major and minor cases. General medical services covered conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, pelvic inflammatory diseases, malaria, typhoid, anaemia, and peptic inflammatory diseases.
Dr. Adediran Charles Adekola, a general surgeon and consultant with Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH), Yola, who was part of the Binos Medical Team, told journalists that 972 patients were treated, with 23 undergoing surgeries. Peculiar cases were referred to MAUTH Yola.
He added that all patients received free medication and that the outreach witnessed significant community participation.
Earlier, the Lead Consultant, Dr. Jama Medan, highlighted Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe’s commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of his constituents through quality, free medical services. “If one person is sick, it affects the whole community. Health is a top priority for Senator Binos,” he said.
PHCC Dashen Facility Manager, Roseline Esthon, praised the medical team’s professionalism and thanked Senator Binos for bringing healthcare services directly to the community.
The District Head of Nyibango-Dashen, Alhaji Ahmadu Baba Kebugangso, also commended the senator, describing the outreach as the first of its kind in the community’s history.
He assured Senator Binos of massive support from his people in the 2027 general elections and urged residents to cooperate with the medical team for better service delivery.
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude. Mal. Abubakar Dashen, who suffered from a long-term ailment for 12 years, was successfully treated, saying, “Finally, I am free from this disease. I lack words to thank Senator Binos enough.”
Mrs. Beauty Ayuba Momsiri, who underwent hernia surgery, also expressed her appreciation: “I want to thank Senator Binos sincerely for this gesture. I will never forget him for the rest of my life. May God bless him abundantly.”
The outreach underscored Senator Binos’ focus on improving healthcare access and highlighted the positive impact of mobile medical services in rural communities.
