Fintiri Visits Optimum Laboratories, Commends CEO for Investing in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has visited Optimum Laboratories Limited in Yola, where he commended the Chief Executive Officer of the facility, Scientist Mohammed Sani Umar, for investing in the state’s healthcare sector.

Governor Fintiri, who was accompanied by his Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and other senior government officials, toured the laboratory facilities during the visit.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the level of equipment and services available at the laboratory, noting that the facility had contributed to saving lives through the accurate and timely delivery of medical diagnostic services.

Fintiri said he was particularly impressed that Mohammed Sani Umar, whom he described as a former National Youth Service Corps member, had remained in Adamawa and established a well-equipped medical laboratory for the benefit of residents.

He also commended the entrepreneur for contributing to the development of the state and described him as a bona fide citizen of Adamawa.

During the tour, the CEO took the governor and his entourage around various sections of the facility, explaining the services and diagnostic capabilities available at the laboratory.

Speaking in appreciation of the governor, Umar thanked Fintiri for creating an environment that enabled him to invest and build his business in Adamawa State.

Umar said his long-standing relationship with the state had made Adamawa his home, adding that he had married an Adamawa woman and had been blessed with four children.

“Adamawa is now my home. I was given a wife here, a lady from Fulani, and I am also blessed by God with four kids. How else can I appreciate the blessings I have enjoyed in this state?” he said.

He explained that establishing the laboratory was part of his contribution to a state that had provided him with opportunities to grow from a corps member into a business owner and healthcare entrepreneur.

According to him, Optimum Laboratories has grown into a major diagnostic facility in Northeast Nigeria, equipped to provide a wide range of modern laboratory services.
