The SIA Pivoting Force, declares support for Abbo’s 2027 governorship Aspiration

YOLA —while calling for an issue-based political conversation and peaceful democratic participation in the state.

A statement by State Coordinator of the SIA Pivoting Force, Alfred Africanus, said the group’s support for Senator Abbo was based on his political experience, legislative exposure, grassroots engagement and participation in public affairs.

Africanus said the 2027 political conversation in Adamawa should focus on issues including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, youth employment, security, economic empowerment and local government development.

He called on aspirants to present clear, practical and measurable programmes rather than rely on slogans or political attacks.

Africanus noted that the group’s support for Senator Abbo was a political choice and should not be interpreted as hostility towards other political aspirants.

He said the group wanted the 2027 political conversation in Adamawa to be defined by ideas, competence, accountability, development and peaceful democratic competition.

The group also acknowledged the ambitions of other prospective candidates, including Dr. Maurice Vunobolki and other aspirants, while calling for respectful competition, constructive scrutiny, public debate and peaceful democratic participation.

Coordinator of the SIA Pivoting Force encouraged citizens, particularly young people, professionals, women, farmers, workers and community leaders, to participate actively and assess all aspirants based on their records, programmes and policy proposals.

Africanus said political differences should not undermine the broader interest of Adamawa State and called for dialogue, unity and cooperation across political divides, stressing that ‘the ark is big enough’ for different perspectives to work towards a common future.
