CDSS Yola Welcomes New Students, Emphasises Discipline, Integrity

Command Day Secondary School (CDSS), Gibson Jallo Cantonment, Yola, has welcomed newly admitted students into Senior Secondary School One (SS1) and Junior Secondary School One (JSS1), with a charge to uphold discipline, integrity and commitment to learning.

The students were formally received by the school authorities and teachers, who urged them to remain focused on the purpose of their admission and make their education a priority.

The teachers also introduced the new students to the values and standards of the institution, stressing that discipline and integrity remain fundamental to the school’s culture.

Speaking in an interview, the Head Boy of the school, Divine Ochepo, described CDSS as a citadel of learning where students are moulded through discipline and academic training.

He said the school places strong emphasis on character development, noting that knowledge without discipline was incomplete.

Similarly, the Head Girl, Ehi Gift Moses, said the name “Command” should immediately bring discipline and integrity to mind.

She urged parents to consider enrolling their children in the school, saying the institution provides an environment capable of shaping students into responsible future leaders.

Some of the newly admitted students expressed excitement over gaining admission into the school, describing it as a dream come true.

They said CDSS was a school many children aspired to attend and appreciated their parents for securing admission for them.
