The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Adamawa State, Nigeria, and across the globe on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulid, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim, and Secretary, Comrade Kissinger Bukar, the NUJ urged Muslims to use the celebration as a time for deep reflection on the life and teachings of the Prophet, which emphasize peace, love, tolerance, justice, humility, and selfless service to humanity.
The Council noted that at a time when the country is facing numerous challenges, it is imperative for both leaders and citizens to embrace these values in order to foster unity, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence in Adamawa State and the nation at large.
Furthermore, the NUJ encouraged the Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in their prayers for the peace, progress, and development of the state and the country.
