POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS FOR DEFRAUDING CUSTOMERS WITH DUMMY PHONES IN ADAMAWA

YOLA —By Ojoma Yusuf,YolaThe Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting customers by selling them dummy phones instead of original working devices.In a press statement released by the public relations officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje he detailed that the suspects, Audu Abubakar and Nasiru Hassan, both residents of Bauchi Street, Yola North LGA, were apprehended following complaints from victims who discovered that the phones purchased were non-functional replicas.He further explained that the Items recovered from the suspects include a number of dummy phones and other exhibits.
The Commissioner of Police, *CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, fdc*, has directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated and charged to court upon completion of investigation.CP Kabir further urges members of the public to be vigilant and patronize only accredited phone dealers advising customers to test devices thoroughly and demand receipts before making payment.
