The Gongola People’s Forum Women’s Wing (GPFWW) has inaugurated its newly appointed national and grassroots executives, charging them to foster unity and promote the cultural heritage of the Gongola people.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Ann Malgwi, National President of GPFWW, congratulated the new leaders and urged them to lead with love, unity, and a spirit of service.
She emphasized the need for women, as “mothers of the nation,” to carry the message of peace and togetherness to the grassroots, involving youths and children in community development.
Prof. Malgwi encouraged the executives to work selflessly for the progress of the Gongola People’s Forum, stressing that preserving their shared cultural heritage and national identity is a collective responsibility.
Also speaking, Mr. Leonard Dan Zadon, National Secretary of the Gongola People’s Forum (GPF), who represented the GPF President, commended the women’s wing for its organizational drive and commitment.
He urged the newly inaugurated leaders to remain inclusive and united in their activities, noting that their collective strength would elevate the Forum to greater heights.
In a goodwill message, Rt. Col. Andrawas Sawa (rtd) of the Council of Elders lauded the women’s unity and courage. He encouraged them to be steadfast, fearless, and to reject any perception of being a minority group.
“Our priority is to see Gongola grow stronger again. Our children must not be lost. Our fathers labored for this legacy, and it would be our failure if the Forum fades in our time,” Sawa stated.
The event was marked by enthusiasm and renewed commitment among members, as the newly inaugurated executives pledged to advance the vision and unity of the Gongola People’s Forum.
