Adamawa CP Decorates Two Newly Promoted Deputy Commissioners, Holds Strategic Security Meeting with DPOs

The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, Kabiru Umar Hassan, has decorated two senior officers of the command with their new ranks following their promotion by the Police Service Commission.

The officers, DCP Shuaibu Zakari, Commanding Officer of the 65 Police Mobile Force (PMF) Squadron in Mubi, and DCP Markus Mancha Chuwang, Area Commander of Mubi Area Command, were formally decorated during a ceremony held at the Police Officers’ Mess.

The event was attended by members of the command’s management team, senior police officers, family members, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the officers’ promotion.

Speaking at the ceremony, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through exemplary leadership, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

In their remarks, the newly promoted officers expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for the recognition. They pledged to discharge their new responsibilities diligently, noting that the promotion comes with greater expectations and renewed commitment to service.

Following the decoration ceremony, the Commissioner of Police convened a strategic meeting with Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) from across Adamawa State.

The meeting focused on strengthening crime prevention strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, promoting intelligence-led policing, and improving public safety across the state.

Kabiru Umar Hassan reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order, urging all officers to remain disciplined, proactive, and responsive in carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.
