FRSC, Adamawa PHCDA Strengthen Partnership as Agency Donates Essential Drugs to Zonal Clinic

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adamawa Sector Command, and the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in emergency healthcare delivery and road safety services across the state.

The renewed partnership was highlighted on Monday when the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State PHCDA paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander, FRSC Adamawa Sector Command, Corps Commander Ibrahim A. Sadiq, at the Command Headquarters in Yola. The visit fulfilled an earlier promise by the PHCDA Chairman to reciprocate the Sector Commander’s previous visit to the Agency.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed strategies to deepen cooperation between their organisations. Key areas of focus included joint capacity-building and training programmes for personnel, improving ambulance and emergency response services across Adamawa State, and enhancing collaboration between Primary Health Care Centres in the Local Government Areas and FRSC Unit Commands to strengthen emergency medical response, referral services and public health interventions.

The Executive Chairman reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to sustaining the partnership and exploring additional opportunities for collaboration aimed at improving healthcare services and road crash emergency response for residents of the state.

In a significant demonstration of support, the PHCDA donated a consignment of essential drugs to the FRSC Adamawa Sector Command for use at the Command’s clinic. The Chairman also pledged continued assistance to the clinic whenever necessary.

As part of the visit, both organisations exchanged commemorative plaques as symbols of their enduring partnership. Corps Commander Ibrahim A. Sadiq presented an FRSC plaque to the Executive Chairman in appreciation of the Agency’s support, while the Chairman presented a commemorative plaque on behalf of the Adamawa State PHCDA to the Sector Commander.

The visit concluded with a group photograph involving the management teams of both organisations.

Both the FRSC Adamawa Sector Command and the Adamawa State PHCDA expressed optimism that the strengthened collaboration would enhance emergency response to road traffic crashes, improve healthcare delivery and promote capacity development, ultimately contributing to the safety and well-being of road users and the general public in Adamawa State.
